NORTHERN ARTIST

The goal of the Northern Artist –project is to bring to limelight and public
conscience significant and high-quality Northern art and to ensure that the
Northern point of view is more strongly present in Finland and abroad.
The
project’s first exhibition Kötöstyksiä by the sculptor, environmental artist
Sauli Miettunen from Kemi was realized in cooperation with the Amos Anderson
Art Museum in 2010.
In 2014-2015 the joint project with the Espoo Museum
of Modern Art EMMA will cover three solo exhibitions of the selected artists
Mia Hamari, Alma Heikkilä and Jaakko Mattila.
