COLLECTION - graphic art - Obscurum
The name of the Kari Huhtamo’s lithography series Obscurum refers to something that is obscure, secret and disappears like a trail left by neurons in a neuron tube. The works capture fast movements and form signs in an open space. The signs are born out of the orange and purple mass of color and they sink into them as lightly as they came. The signs create an impression of three- dimensional event similar to the Chinese painter’s swirling brush on a paper: plastic thinking on a two-dimensional plane.
