The Foundation wanted to honor its founder and support the Northern art by commissionin portraits of Kari Huhtamo and his wife Tutteli ( Marketta Huhtamo) from Pekka Hermanni Kyrö, a graphic artist from Inari. Kyrö is known for his luminous landscape paintings that are born on location over long periods of trekking. Kyrö’s portraits have similar strong sense of presence. He captures the personality with sure and sensitive touch.
